Healing for the World's Healers

Angel Message: On Navigating Tragedy

When I sat down to record this month’s Angel Message, there was nothing.

I waited.

Still nothing.

I took the hint went about other tasks, knowing that these things do not happen according to my time, ever. In this work, we operate on Divine Time.

The, later in the day, there was a school shooting in Texas. 21 people were killed, most of them children. This has had a major impact on the population at large.

The next morning when I woke up, I knew we would be recording. I felt called to go for a walk in nature, and that is where the Angels started to speak.

At times like this there are so many things to be said.

They want to support us through navigating tragedy, both these large and global scale tragedies, and also the ones are closer to home.

Our Angels are always with us in our times of need. When we are in mourning and in pain, they are sharing it, taking as much from us as we will let them. They invite us to lean in so they can hold us up when we don't feel capable of standing on our own, helping us to gain our footing and supporting us in the next right steps to take.

The Angels remind us that despite our age, the soul has been around for millennia. It has its own wisdom and knows the path we are to take. When we come into this life, there are many potentials of the way things can go. Though a human may be two, five, or ten years old, the soul is much, much older and knows all possible potentials that could be in this lifetime.

Many years ago, this message was first delivered through and to me during a major tsunami. The Angels said that all who perished in that tsunami knew it was a potential and agreed at the soul level to come together at the time and place to make an impact on the rest of the world so that change could be made. There were many things that were looked at as a result of that tsunami—climate change, tsunami alerts, warning systems that would give people more time, and so much more.

As we look to the events that happened right before writing this, we are called to recognize that these 21 souls were wise beings. Traditionally, in human history, we don't pay attention to the warning signs. We just don't pay attention when things happen over and over and over.

But we do pay attention when those things involve children.

There were so many times for us to look, for us to do, for us to act, and for us to talk and listen.

But we missed them.

The involvement of children makes things much more important. Those 19 people were innocent, and their souls were wise. They knew that this was a potential when they incarnated. They knew the impact they would have on the world, if it came to that. And they all said yes.

And Archangel Michael was there to meet them as they left their bodies.

To be clear, the Angels are not excusing a situation, but are sharing this in the hope that we can understand a slightly bigger picture, and that understanding can act as a healing balm on our hearts.

There's so much learning that happens as a result of any tragedy, in so many ways. Maybe this most recent one catalyzes us to show our loved ones how much we love and appreciate them more often. Any of us can be called Home at any moment, and for any reason.

Tragedy is highly emotionally charged, yet when it strikes, it's important for us to be able to share our perspective and then listen to hear other perspectives, as well. This can often require a great deal of self-mastery. Talking at and over each other is not working.

If all I'm doing is speaking, I have made up my mind that there is only one way. I deprive myself the experience of broadening my perspective, and the grace of witnessing another’s journey—in their vulnerability, fear, anger, pain, strength, and understanding.

Most of humanity has forgotten the importance of listening, and is just preparing what they are going to say in defense of their own perspective or to “prove” another wrong. This is not hearing. The blessing of being human is that the solutions lie within the problems, but can only become apparent when we hear each other and consider many points of view.

Consider a prism. As light passes through, it gets refracted by the angles and planes. Each frequency of light (perspective) gets refracted slightly differently. This is what allows us to see the individual bands of color that make the rainbow. And every single person loves a rainbow! This is the potential we have to create something cohesive when we work together and allow all of our perspectives and experiences to coexist.

Solutions are never either/or. They are both/and—we just need to be brave enough to wade through the muck to find them.

Our Angels want us to realize that we are each here to be part of the problems and part of the solutions. We are part of some problems and part of other solutions. No one is only one or the other. Those we view as problems in one area are those that are solutions to the areas in which we are problems. When we remember this, it helps to create the space for compassion.

The Angels want us to remember that even when we are in the greatest pain, we are not alone. They are at our backs all the time. They want to share the burden of what you're moving through, to hold the space for you to move through your emotions, and to support you in moving through your pain.

It also works on the flip side. Let them support you in moments of awakening, love, and joy, as well. This lifetime (so far) is based on duality. There's the love vs. fear dichotomy that happens that duality. It's important to have compassion for those that are in pain and fear in any given moment, because we all move through our own times of pain and fear. When we can hold the space of love for those people, they can do it for us when it’s our turn.

Our Angels also remind us that the place that we can find refuge is in the present moment. By bringing ourselves fully there, we'll be able to take a breath and feel the promise that everything is okay, though everything in our world may be telling us that it's not. In this present moment, all is well.

And as I was just taking my walk, the Angels were showing me that if our heart is broken, we can even just sit under a tree, picking a leaf and staring at it, bringing 100% of our awareness to it. While concentrating on that leaf swaying in the wind, all of the other stuff that's been swarming focuses, and our awareness, mind, and energy come into this moment, allowing us to feel at least one second of relaxation where we  can let go and let the earth hold us up.

When we can have that pause, our Angels can step in and bring us inspiration. Ans the best part, is that we will be able to receive it! They are giving us our next right step. Sometimes it is simply to eat something or move from one breath to the next. From there we can continue expanding as we move through our process. We all have those moments of feeling broken.

This is why our Angels invite us constantly back to the present moment. They tell us, “We will meet you there. It's where we can communicate.” Will the situations in your life still be happening? Yes, but your mind won't be in future fear or the past all of the time.

This can be difficult, especially in the midst of something really big, but it's also the best place to practice because there won't be as much resistance. Find these moments, even once or twice a day, to bring yourself back to center, or simply be willing to do so—even if you can't quite get there.

This is like reaching out our hand to our Angels and Divine Teams while we are drowning. They can take them and pull us through. If we don't make that effort to reach out, however, they can’t help us because we have free will choice.

Another important thing to note is that everything we've done beforehand pulls us through when tragedy or difficulty strikes. For example, keeping our bodies healthy and strong helps if we ever need to go for surgery. Spending time each morning in meditation or contemplation will help us to stay more centered and grounded when something happens that spins our world upside down.

Our Angels invite us to notice the beauty, miracles, and gifts in our lives. These things are the way they show up for and reassure us. And when we notice them, we build the muscles that allow us to grow in the trust that we are supported.

Maybe someone sends you a package out of the blue with a note that says, “Saw this and thought of you.” and then someone in line ahead of you pays for your coffee. This is how Universe shows us that we're supported. And you took the time to notice.

Maybe the next day you lose a project or a job that you've been working on. Because you understood how Universe was providing for you in those other two instances, it becomes easier to trust that this is happening for a reason and that you will be brought something that is more aligned.

So pay attention! Then, when things happen that have the potential to rock our world, we can be more in Trust, knowing that we will be able to be present for our Guidance and have the courage and support to take the next right steps for us. We can trust the right solution will present itself, the right conversations will be had, and the right support will show up.

We need to be in the place where we are receptive to our Guidance so that we can get the memo and then take the action.

Where is that place?

In the present moment.

You are loved, you're supported, and your soul is wise beyond its years in this lifetime.
