A recent Angel Message was about the importance of inspiration to the ascension process. As the result of that message, a large number of people have been asking me how, exactly, to find inspiration.
Though inspiration happens differently for everyone because it's a personal and subjective experience—there's that bio-individuality thing again—there are some things that seem to work across the board.

Here are my top 7 ways to find and open yourself up to inspiration:
1. Connect with nature: Spending time in nature can help you connect with your inner self and find inspiration in the beauty and tranquility of the natural world.
Immersing yourself in nature can quiet down and re-set your nervous system, opening you up to the messages that are there!
Nature is so inspiring—like the way a seashell perfectly echoes sacred geometry, the healing sound of the ocean, the way an ant carries a crumb that's 50x it's size! So, relax, pay attention, and get inspired!
2. Surround yourself with positive people: Being around people who are positive and inspire you will help you feel motivated and driven towards your goals. Allow them to support and get excited with you.
This may be a change from the experience of having others tell you that your goals and dreams are silly, impossible, or unattainable.
Many times you find yourself being the person that everyone looks to for help or their own inspiration. Find a room where you don't have to lead, full of people like you who other people look to, who know what it takes to hold it together for others, who understand you.
A good idea is to go on retreat, to a networking event, or some type of meetup based on interest. Or you can simply get together with friends who you admire.
3. Explore new experiences: Engaging in new experiences can open up your mind to fresh perspectives and ideas. Traveling to different places, attending events, trying out new activities, or even exploring different cultures can stimulate your creativity and inspire you. By exposing yourself to different environments and situations, you can discover totally new sources of inspiration.
4. Stay curious: You are inquisitive by nature, which can be a great source of inspiration. Stay curious and explore new perspectives and ways of thinking.
Seek out diverse sources when learning about something. There are always those that will resonate, but opening you up to different perspectives will help you to get a bigger picture idea, and be inspired to a more all-encompassing POV or solution.
5. Practice mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness helps you identify and control your thoughts and emotions. This is important for those who often experience strong emotions—ours and others'.
Mindfulness provides inspiration and clarity.
Sometimes, inspiration can come from within. Take time for yourself, find moments of solitude, and engage in self-reflection. Disconnect from distractions, such as technology or busy environments, and allow yourself to think deeply and introspectively. You can meditate, journal, take walks in nature, or engage in activities that promote introspection. By quieting your mind and focusing inward, you may discover new insights, ideas, or solutions that can inspire you.
This is why inspiration happens in the shower so often.
6. Get out of your daily environment: Though routine is good for so many reasons, when looking for inspiration it is helpful to get out of the daily grind.
Doing things differently and being in a new or unexpected environment stimulates you in new ways. Your senses experience things they wouldn't have otherwise. The neurons begin firing differently than they normally would activating new pathways in the brain.
7. Practice Spirituality: Connecting with your spirituality can be a source of inspiration and motivation. This can be through meditation, prayer, visualization, or attending spiritual events.
These are things that can be done daily, weekly, quarterly, or annually. Mix it up. You don't have to practice them all, just the ones that resonate for you right now. Make time for them. Schedule them in. Create space. It's when you do, that the Divine can step in and inspire you!
Try them and then make way for the miracles.
Remember, inspiration comes from unexpected places and at unexpected times. Stay open-minded, be curious, and nurture your passions. What inspires one person may not necessarily inspire another, so it's essential to find what resonates with you personally.
And know that the Universe delights in inspiring you in the most surprising of ways.
